It's the full five-component system installed together to manufacturer spec. That's what qualifies a roof for SureStart PLUS™ non-prorated warranty coverage instead of a shingle-only warranty. A cheaper bid usually means components were left out.
Most standard residential replacements are completed in one to a few days depending on size, weather, and scope. You'll get a specific timeline as part of your written proposal.
We inspect and document the damage with photos and a written scope, then meet your adjuster on site so nothing gets missed or undervalued. If the adjuster's scope leaves out work the roof genuinely needs, we handle the supplement. You pay your deductible. We never offer to absorb it, because in Pennsylvania that's insurance fraud, and any contractor who offers is telling you what they're willing to do to you later.
We tarp the ground and landscaping, set a dumpster (usually in the driveway, tell us if that's a problem), and tear off. It's loud, so plan around pets and anyone working from home. We run magnets over the lawn and driveway before we leave and walk the property with you. Most standard replacements are done in one to a few days depending on size and weather.
Under the PA Home Improvement Consumer Protection Act, you have the right to cancel a signed home improvement contract any time before midnight of the third business day after signing. We disclose this in writing on every contract. PA HIC #PA149822.
